Municipality Updates
On behalf of Mayor Miguel Castillo of Paracas, Brien Foerster, as Cultural Representative, accepts a Moai sculpture from the Mayor of Rapanui (Easter Island) thus forming the beginnings of a cultural exchange.
Feliz Navidad and Merry Christmas from Paracas! The Mayor, Sr. Miguel Castillo prepared a party for all of the children of Paracas on December 19, 2011. each child was given hot chocolate, traditional cake, and a gift. Sr. Alexander Chui, the Director of the Municipality of Paracas, is seen overseeing the festivities.
Santa Claus was of course in attendance, as was local musical entertainment.

Any finding of artifacts has been reported to the Paracas History Museum, and the municipality is 100% behind the sensitive removal and protection of Paracas’ cultural history.

The film crew from the Los Angeles California based Ancient Aliens/History Channel crew came to Paracas to film the elongated skulls and beautiful scenery. The scenes from that film shoot will be seen by 100,000,000 people around the world, in 2 episodes. The mayor, Sr. Mycol Castillo, was featured, holding a Paracas skull, in the episode called “The Undead.”
